Raheem Morris says the Bucs are the best team in the NFC
Pat Yasinkas has a little quote from Raheem claiming the Bucs are the best team in the NFC over on the NFC South blog on ESPN.com. While I'm sure everyone is excited about being 4-2, this is the type of thing that makes me wish Dominik would put a gag order on Raheem during the week. It is true that the NFC doesn't seem to have any dominant teams this year, but as Yasinkas points out in the blog, the Bucs suffered an emphatic defeat to the Saints last week.

Strange year in the NFL i must say..
Bucs beat Browns
Saints smack Bucs
Saints destroyed at home by Saints
Chargers number 1 Defense, and number 1 Offense, yet they’re 2-5
The highly talented Cowboys and Vikings have nothing to show for
MY BRAIN!!!
You mean the saints destroyed at home by browns?
Granted, they did implode, but still, there was another team facing them.

Their defense played very well against the Saints in that game.
Yes that’s what i meant. I don’t mind Rah giving that statement either.
It can be the confidence, swagger, whatever you want to call it that this team needs.
Nothing wrong with a little bit of pride.
We have 0 playmakers. Almost every other team (winning and losing) has one. Having a 4-2 record sounds pretty impressive considering the injuries and lack of talent.
Raheem just gave the Cards, Falcs, 'Skins, and Saints bulletin board material
Morris, that 4 win record is because you’ve played terrible teams. When we’ve played half-decent teams, the Bucs had their asses kicked.
/facepalm
P.S. Favre has a broken ankle and they’re STILL not forcing him to sit? His playing streak is set, LET IT GO PPL!
The 2010 Bucs: Considering their two-minute offense works wonders... Why can't EVERY offensive drive be run like that during the other 58 minutes of the damn game?!

I don't think it will motivate the other teams more.
What fire’s up other teams is calling them bad or inferior.
The statement was more about how our record right now is the best in the NFC. Every team in the NFC has at least 2 loses, so we are at least tied in the NFC with fewest losses. Now Atlanta and(depending on tonight’s game) the Giants have 5 wins, so not the most most wins. Really after week 7 who thought we could say that?
If Rah does not think that he has the best team in the NFC
then he does not need to be the head coach of our football team

You're right, he doesn't need to be the head coach of our football team.
I'm not negative, I'm just telling you how it is.
i just dont agree with telling the whole world that you have the best team in the nfc when they played horrible against the rams (excluding the second half)

The record is very deceiving, and Morris isn't the reason we've won any games.
That honor goes to Freeman, Winslow, and M Williams alone. Those guys are getting it done, and I am really hoping Winslow can last many more years, cause a tripod needs three legs, without him the tripod will fall over.
I'm not negative, I'm just telling you how it is.
I'm not as worried about Raheem as I am about Olson
His play calling sucks, way too many passes on first down killed a lot of drives in that game.
RUN THE BALL ON FIRST DOWN!!!!!!

Very predictable, and I think he is the main problem with the OL, he and the OL coach. Bring back Muir, please.
They should have never let Muir go in the first place.
I'm not negative, I'm just telling you how it is.
