Where They Stand Statistically: Josh Freeman
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are off to a 2-1 start, and are currently tied with the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons atop the NFC South division.
The game of football is a team oriented game, but individual statistics are an important aspect of separating the best players from the rest.
Tampa Bay has plenty of individual talent on their roster, including an overwhelming mass of potential from all the young Bucs on the team, such as rookies Gerald McCoy and Mike Williams.
However, Josh Freeman is arguably their most important player on the roster, and has been a very efficient passer up to this point. Where does he rank compared to some of the elite quarterbacks around the league?
The newest segment on "Bucs Nation", Where They Stand Statistically, will provide our readers with the players' current statistics and how they rank among some of the league leaders in that particular category. I have also incorporated the advanced stats of Football Outsiders to further display where each player ranks.

after the first three games
I would say he is playing better then anyone else on the team
He looks almost like a brand new QB then from last year
everyone else is performing average or worse
I agree
He’s definitly our most important player on the team, regardless of the fact that he is the team’s QB.
He looks a lot more comfortable out there, in my opinion.
"Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn't work hard"
He seems to be much more comfortable out there...
and playing smarter. No wild throws because of pressure, etc. Glad he has settled down.
NFC south
This is saying we are in a three way tie with Atlanta and New Orleans. Shouldn’t it be a two way tie with Atlanta? All records are 2-1. But New Orleans has a division loss, apposed to Tampa and Atlanta’s division win each.

They're still tied for first, they just lose the tiebreaker.
As you can always expect come from behind victory is when you least expect it.
Its too bad the season lasts longer than 3 weeks.
We have a tough run of games in the next few weeks, so I hope we can shake off the PIT drubbing and refocus on our playing some mistake free football or things will not be pretty.
Good news is the Bengals just lost 23 to 20 to the BROWNS
This gives me hope and after watching alot of Football this weekend, I am glad we have our Franchise QB. IMO If you have a QB, you have a chance in every game no matter who the matchup is against. I am excited to see the bucs Young WR Put pressure on the Bengals Defense. Benn and Mike Williams have big play capability and we have a guy who can get them the ball when they are open no matter where they are on the field.
I expect to see more big plays from the bucs now that the offensive starters are being set in stone. Benn is going to see alot of 1 on 1 with K2 and Mike williams getting the attention so all he needs to do is know his plays and catch the ball. I am calling a win vs the Bengals to get us back on the winning track.
