Ryan Purvis, a tight end from Boston College, was among the players invited for a tryout without a contract, but his first Eagles workout ended almost before it started. Less than 10 minutes into the morning workout, Purvis left the field because the Tampa Bay Buccaneers had signed him to a contract.
