In their defense — you brought up the Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders and I don’t think it was until they had really started turning heads that things changed for cheerleaders in general.

But then again, this is the first time I have seen any NFL cheerleaders dressed like THAT! Looks like something, as you said, taken out of the late 1940’s or 1950’s! The cheer itself looks like something high school or even middle school cheerleaders would do.

I would say that at the same time, our swashbuckers were ten times better than this, and it was the same year, 1977.

You are correct though..it was the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders that paved the way for all cheerleader squads to sex up and show more skin.
