Brett Favre finally a REAL possibility for Tampa Bay?

As the Brett Favre saga continues… Ed Werder of ESPN reported on Sportscenter that the Brett Favre camp is, if not already, going to approach the Buccaneers about a possible trade. In a perfect world, Brett Favre would be traded to the Vikings or Bears so he could stick it to the Packers twice next season, but the Packers will have none of that. The Packs only options thus far are the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets…

As a Bucs fan, I would love to see Brett Favre come to Tampa Bay. Forget the media circus:

(A) – Brett Favre is better than Jeff Garcia

(B) – I don’t believe Jeff Garcia can make it through an entire season

(C) – Brett Favre is better than Jeff Garcia

No that’s not a typo, it’s the truth. Would Favre have as good of a season as Jeff Garcia were they both healthy in Tampa? I’m not so sure that he would. He has to learn Gruden’s offense (or let’s be honest, a dumbed down version) in order to succeed and oh by the way, he has a month… But with Garcia’s propensity to get hurt, I would love to see Favre come aboard and truly battle to be the starter in Tampa. I wonder if his heart would be in it however as Minnesota and Chicago are obviously his first choices… It’s an interesting dilemma though…

What do you think? Do you want Brett in Tampa all things considered?

you gotta think

QB John David Booty (Vikings) and P Brad Maynard (Bears) are crossing their fingers that Favre lands with their respective teams. Both players currently wear the #4 and you know Favre has plenty of $$ to pry it away from them….

I think Brett sits out the entire year, i can’t see him in another jersey, be it with the Bucs or not

Jerry - It's gonna take alot more that a website called savebrett.com to convince me he has been traded to the Bucs.....

However, it’s all the buzz on talk radio due ti the fact that Thompson/McCarthy have pretty much told Favre to take a hike. So, while it would not surpise me that Brett’s a Buc….I won’t believe it until he puts on #4 in pewter and red. And if it does happen? About damn time! Let me be the one to show Garcia the door. Obviously the 2 won’t coexist. Bring in that gunslingin varmit and le em do his thing!
