It's just a SHAME that Jeff Garcia isnt 10 years younger, because he would be this organization's Franchise Quarterback. The more I see him play, the more I wonder what could have been had he actually stayed in one place and had a decent offensive line. The guy is fearless.

Thanks for the efforts Jeff, you are a true gladiator. Love him or Hate him, the guy is a competitor.

"Franchise quarterback" a contradiction

I agree with what you said up until the “Franchise quarterback” label for Jeff.

That’s not to say Jeff couldn’t / wouldn’t be the Bucs franchise quarterback if he were running the show in Tampa instead of Trent Dilfer ten years ago. Nor is that trying to say that a 10-years-younger Garcia couldn’t be the franchise for any number of current NFL teams. That IS saying that if Garcia was 10 years younger and a member of THIS Buccaneer team, he’d be dated as a starting quarterback but not committed to by Gruden… With Gruden opting for an elder quarterback, no matter what skill or tenacity that Jeff shows on field.

Speaking of which, we still have to deal with the consequence of Gruden’s interest in Farve from the pre-season during the off season.
