Cleveland checking out Gradkowski

According to ESPN's James Walker, the Cleveland Browns are interested in former Buccaneer QB Bruce Gradkowski. Apparently, two injured QBs they paid too much money for and rookie Ken Dorsey are not enough for the Browns. Romeo Crennel needs to find rejects from other teams to continue his losing season.

Gradkowski

CLEVELAND -- Earlier Monday we wrote that the Cleveland Browns were in search of a veteran quarterback.

This evening we learned the team is interested in at least one former signal caller with starting experience.

The Browns will work out former Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Bruce Gradkowski Tuesday at their training facility in Berea, Ohio, agent Ralph Cindrich confirmed. Gradkowski has played in 17 career games for the Bucs before being released last May.

Cleveland lost two quarterbacks in two weeks as starters Brady Quinn (finger) and Derek Anderson (knee) both suffered season-ending injuries. It is unknown if Gradkowski is the only quarterback the Browns (4-8) will work out Tuesday, but he is probably among the most well-known signal callers left on the street this late in the season.

Whoever is signed this week would backup Ken Dorsey in Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans (11-1).
